Physiotherapy

A therapist will promote, maintain, or restore health through physical examination, diagnosis, prognosis, patient education, physical intervention, rehabilitation, disease prevention and health promotion.

Desiree is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Certified Orthopedic Specialist (OCS). She graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in Business Administration and continued on to graduate from UW’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2007. She’s worked on the Eastside since then in private outpatient orthopedic settings and continues to be a lifelong learner.

Furthering her career, she completed a fellowship in orthopedic manual physical therapy FAAOMPT in 2014 and is now a clinical instructor with Aspire Manual Therapy Institute.

In 2017, she completed the three week ConnectTherapy program in Vancouver which is an integrative approach looking at the whole body and finding the driver based on neurophysiology

She is also trained in the following: Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) breathing techniques, Temporomandibular Dysfunction (TMD)

Outside of work Desiree enjoys yoga, outdoor activities, cooking and playing with her two kids.
